black sand
A fine off-world sand Raboniel gives Navani for her experiments. It slowly turns white in the presence of Stormlight or Voidlight, faster when an actively running fabrial is consuming Light, and also responds to nearby spren. Wetting the sand resets it to black; it must dry before it can turn white again. SA:RoW:Ch 89
