Kholin mausoleum

A stone tunnel cut into the rock beneath the Kholinar palace, lined with statues of the old Kholin kings whose eyes seem to follow the intruder. Shallan flees through it from the palace's wine cellar — where the queen's lighteyed petitioners have been left to rot — and finds a side door out into the city at the base of the palace rise.
