A mountain range that has risen along Beacon's southern corridor over the last few years and refuses to subside. The local ships cannot fly over it; trying to fly around drops people into killing canyons. Its persistence has forced the southern corridor's people to crowd northward, and handed the Cinder King additional leverage over them. STD:TSM:Ch 12
