Splintbox

A small box used by sprouters to grow roseite on demand: pour in a few drops of water and a sheet of pink crystal grows from a face of the box. Used to patch hull breaches under fire. The narrator notes, with suspicious specificity, that it is exactly the right size to carry a human head. STD:Tress:Ch 9
