Zahel's Coin

A small enameled metal disc Zahel gave Adolin at the end of his sword training, said to be used as money in Zahel's homeland. One face shows a robed divine figure beside foreign glyphs translating to *war is the last option of the state that has failed*; the reverse shows the same figure in battle gear, with the rest of the saying: *but it is better than having no options*. Adolin passes it on to Kaladin as a token of permission to step away from the sword. SA:RoW:Ch 21
