Augur

An Allomancer whose single metal is gold — reckoned among the least useful of the Mistings, a power proverbial for being good for nothing. Burning gold shows the Augur, visible only to themselves, a second self standing alongside them: either the person they once were, or the person they might have become along some other branching of their life. Each version is fully real to him, and the two streams of perception and reasoning run side by side until he extinguishes the metal. Miles is one, and dislikes what the two halves of himself make of one another. MB2:AoL:Ch 15
