The hero of a song Wit sings to Kaladin in his prison cell: a legendary runner of folk-tale, said in the long ago to have beaten the Herald Chana-rach in a race, and to have set out at last to race a highstorm itself from sea to sea. He runs himself to death on the soil of Shinovar within sight of the western sea; the storm, finding him fallen, halts of its own accord, and his soul rises out of the wind to finish the race.
