Forgery

The off-world magic Moonlight practises — soulstamps carved with intricate seals and pressed in Invested ink onto an object or person, rewriting its past so that *it now thinks* it was something else. On Scadrial she relies on stored, Invested ink to make her stamps work at all, and effects are time-limited; she describes the universal stamps she now carries as a new technology she is still perfecting. The metaphor she offers Marasi is mundane: to repair something is simply to convince it that it was well-kept and never broke. MB2:TLM:Ch 42
