The Iridescent Tones
The state religion of Hallandren, named for the paired relationship between colour and sound it teaches lies at the root of Awakening. Its priesthood is taken seriously enough that striking one in a tavern is the quick way to earn a trip to the God King's dungeons rather than the local jail. STD:WB:Prologue
Known facts
- priests-hide-things-from-godsVasher's information places a hidden compound beneath at least one Returned palace in the Court of Gods — confirmed when he drops through a trapdoor under Mercystar's home that the priesthood, by their own building rules, should not have constructed at all. The implication: the priests of the Iridescent Tones hide things from the rest of Hallandren, and from the gods in whose name they rule.STD:WB:Ch 21
