The large boy with a healing red scar on the side of his shaved head, dropped at the door of Tashi's Light Orphanage by his mother. Mostly silent and dazed; on his better days he can speak in short sentences and remembers her. The Stump, to Lift's outrage, calls him a faker. SA:ED:Ch 10

- SA:ED:Ch 10 The large boy with the healing red scar from the night before, who scoots up beside Lift on the stone bench, accepts the rest of her roll, and surprises her by speaking in short sentences: *Mother. Mother come back when?*
- SA:ED:Ch 17 Sits up among the other children on the orphanage mats and recognises Lift. He remembers his mother, says he doesn't belong here — *I'm not an orphan* — speaking in clean sentences for the first time. Lift who, the day before, watched him drool through dinner, realises she may have healed him in his sleep without knowing.
