Sheathing of Swords

The stone hollow at the centre of the Bondsmith monastery, holding ten divots cut into the rock — nine reverenced as the sheaths in which the Heralds left their Honorblades in Shin keeping, and the tenth, Talmut's, left blank in memory of the one who never returned the Blade. The shamans keep the divots clean; Szeth kneels to each in turn and kisses the blank stone where Talmut's would have lain. SA:WaT:Ch 94
