Sunlight Spores

The spores of a sunlight-associated aether; in this chapter Tress notes that the Crow's Song's galley oven is heated by sunlight spores in a way that runs the kiln-like device unevenly enough to scorch food in patches, and the narrator notes that flares burn bright and hot when their cores ignite a charge of these spores.
