Windspren
Devious spirits with a fondness for pranks. Smaller windspren are ribbons of pale light; larger ones can take humanlike form and even mimic voices, though normally they do not actually think. SA:WoK:Ch 2
Events
- SA:WaT:Ch 1 The Kaladin's armor spren fly in through the window, stay close for a moment in case he needs them, then laugh and dance back out.
- SA:WaT:Ch 4 Kaladin's armor spren ride the wind with him through the closed corridors of the tower, then are waved off by Wit for the flute lesson alongside his own ball-of-light spren.
- SA:WaT:Ch 141 Thousands of them flicker around Kaladin as he watches the fight, fading in and out from the other side — and for the first time speak to him in the Wind's many overlapping voices: *we fear him.*
- SA:WaT:Ch 144 A thousand ribbons of light spin a whirlpool overhead as the Words are accepted, faceless and laughterless — gathered in the Wind's name to witness.
- SA:WoR:Ch 86 Spin up around Kaladin in the chaos of the highstorm when he begins to lose the assassin, wreath him in laughter and trails of light, and let him cut through the unpredictable winds in time to burst out of the stormwall in front of his quarry.
