The battle the Vorin tradition treats as the final defeat of the Voidbringers, said to mark the end of the Desolations and the Heralds' ascent to the Tranquiline Halls to carry the war there. Dalinar is shown, through the Stormfather's visions, that it was nothing of the kind — only another Desolation, after which nine of the Heralds quietly chose to remain on Roshar and leave a tenth to bear the torture of Damnation alone.
