Honorbearer
The title used in Shinovar for the Shin *shamans* of the Stoneward monasteries who bear and practise with the Blades. Elid tells Szeth she once saw an Honorbearer fly — a detail he forbids her to speak of in the open lest outsiders learn the treasures the monasteries keep. SA:WaT:Ch 24
Known facts
- pilgrimage-trains-at-each-monastery-mastering-each-surgeShinovar holds ten monasteries, one for each Radiant order, and most house an Honorblade. When a Shin candidate is elevated, they travel each on pilgrimage, training at every monastery that still holds its Blade and mastering its paired Surge in turn. The monasteries of Talmut, Nin and Ishu now lack their Blades — Szeth carried Nin's in his service to the Shin Farmers, and Ishu has lately reclaimed his own.SA:WaT:Ch 28
