The thing Wax has spent the book trying not to be: the killer Harmony cannot be himself, because his hands are bound by Preservation. On the Shaw stairs Wax stops running from the role and names himself by it — *it's time for Harmony's Sword to do his job* — and ascends through the Hidden Guard without flinching. MB2:TLM:Ch 61
