The marginally defensible quarter of Elantris that Raoden and Saolin have sectioned off as the band's home — only eleven streets in, half of its perimeter walled, sentries posted at every intersection, with a clean shoe rotation and wash bucket at the boundary so Kahar's scrubbing survives the city slime.
