Ranette's Hook Spheres

A third-iteration cord-and-grapple device Ranette sends Wax before he leaves for New Seran — a fist-sized metal sphere wound with a length of cord that, on a secondary Push, snaps a set of internal hooks open or shut. The first version was the one Wax used to climb ZoBell Tower; this one locks in and releases on command. MB2:BoM:Ch 5
