A roughly two-hundred-year-old schism within Torio's yoki-hijo tradition. Reformist wardens let their charges feed and dress themselves, take days off, visit family and retire at seventy; the orthodox faction — to which Liyun belongs — keeps every restriction intact and trains their yoki-hijo in deliberate ignorance of the reformers' existence.
