Salay's father
A tall, smiling man depicted in a quick street-artist sketch above the porthole in Salay's cabin, standing beside a girl who looks much like a younger Salay. He was pressed into labour by the king's debt collectors before she could pay off his creditors; the press-ship dropped him at a debtor's prison whose location they could not later remember, and royal warships took him from there. The hope of one day finding him is what keeps her sailing from port to port. STD:Tress:Ch 44
