A small iron-walled room hidden between the walls of the mayor's mansion, reached by a ladder dropped from a trapdoor under the rug in Gave's study. Shelves of dry rations and water jugs suggest a short-term bolt-hole; a reinforced metal door in one wall opens onto the city's storm drains, making it less an emergency shelter than a covert exit.
