Gave Entrone
Lord mayor of Bilming and chief on-site engineer of the Community — by the time Marasi reaches the perpendicularity pool in his Wayfarer mansion he is wan and hollow-eyed but spiked himself, with rapid healing and bone-shattering strength: a full magazine of pistol fire merely pokes holes in his suit, and he punches through a load-bearing wall to bypass a slowness bubble. *I'm a god now,* he tells her. Aluminum-lined hat keeps him insulated from emotional Allomancy while he wears it. MB2:TLM:Ch 59
Lord mayor of Bilming — slicked-back black hair, sharp jaw, diamond-set wooden cufflinks, and a smug closed-mouth smile. Originally from the town of New Seran, he relocated to Bilming two years ago and has risen fast in Outer Cities politics as exactly the kind of figure the city wants standing up to Elendel. Wax has crossed him before, beginning with an insult to Steris at their first meeting, and is convinced he serves the Set. MB2:TLM:Ch 27 superseded at MB2:TLM:Ch 59
A young, smug New Seran lord in textiles, well-regarded among the local elite and on ReLuur's notebook list — and one of the Bands threads Wax is here to pull. Wax once courted a cousin of his. MB2:BoM:Ch 12 superseded at MB2:TLM:Ch 27
Known facts
- calendar-shows-lab-tripsGave's private desk calendar at the mayor's mansion records repeated visits to a place referred to only as *the lab*, tightly slotted between his official meetings — meaning either it sits very close to the mansion or he has a private fast route to it — alongside blocks of empty days surrounding entries marked as trajectory and distance tests, the only recurring activity that requires him to travel far from Bilming.MB2:TLM:Ch 41
- calendar-they-arriveThe final entry in Gave Entrone's desk calendar is dated to the day of Wax's break-in, written in his own sloppy hand, and reads only *They arrive*; the calendar holds no scheduled appointments at all beyond it.MB2:TLM:Ch 41
- flees-to-factory-after-silver-houseAfter Wax's break-in and the fire that follows, Gave arrives at the tire factory in a bulbous black motorcar with tinted windows, flanked by tough-looking bodyguards. Marasi hears him shouting *Dawnshot's* name at the trucks in the bay as he hurries inside — confirmation that the factory is the right target.MB2:TLM:Ch 44
- keeps-vennis-handwriting-samplesThe cordial letters Gave exchanged with Vennis Hasting turn out to have been pretexts to collect genuine Vennis handwriting samples — raw material for Telsin's forged-letter campaign to pin the destruction of Elendel on its own senators.MB2:TLM:Ch 46
- supposed-to-replace-telsinOverheard from inside the lab shack, Gave admits the arrangement with Autonomy he believed himself to be inside: Telsin was supposed to fail, and he was supposed to take her place at the head of the Basin. Instead her bomb plan is still in play, Autonomy's invading army is nearly through, and Gave has been reduced to propping her up so that the worst option — a planetary invasion — doesn't play out before her plan can finish. He retreats to the caverns as a bunker, intending to outlast whatever happens above.MB2:TLM:Ch 47
- disappearing-political-oppositionThe twenty-odd captives Marasi frees from the lab-shack cell turn out not to be random unfortunates but Entrone's political opposition — among them Pielle Fromed, head of the opposition party on the Bilming Council, and the editor of the Elendel-sympathetic *Seasons*. Marasi notes the brazenness: Gave has been quietly making prominent citizens vanish into the caverns for experiments while no one in the city above noticed.MB2:TLM:Ch 50
- wayfarer-mansion-with-broadcast-stationEntrone keeps an ostentatious new mansion at the edge of Wayfarer, built within the last year, large enough to draw resentment from the captives. It houses the public-address broadcast station for the Community and at least one tunnel up to the surface; Armal warns Marasi that, because the broadcast equipment requires metal, the mansion would be the first place any *mutant* would be told to attack — useful cover for the actual reason the building sits where it does.MB2:TLM:Ch 57
- spiked-godhoodEntrone reveals to Marasi that he has been spiked — *I'm a god now* — with at least healing and strength among the powers he carries. A full magazine of pistol rounds heals over inside his suit, and he punches through the wall of the mansion's radio room to circumvent the slowness bubble between them. He keeps an aluminum-lined hat (a Set staple) to insulate against emotional Allomancy; losing it leaves him exposed to Armal's Rioting.MB2:TLM:Ch 59
Events
- MB2:BoM:Ch 12 Holds court at the Shores ballroom with his date and a small crowd, sneers about Roughs gentlemen adventurers, and provokes Wax into reaching for an absent gun by insulting Steris as a title-chaser. Used the dodge to escape the topic of his archaeology hobby.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 28 Steps out of his office to challenge Marsh in the constabulary hallway and folds completely under the demigod's *how would you like to die?*
- MB2:TLM:Ch 44 Arrives at the tire factory in a tinted-window motorcar, shouts Dawnshot's name at the trucks in the bay, and disappears inside as the strike team watches from the alley.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 47 Sits worn down at a table inside the lab shack in formal dining wear, pours himself a drink, demands Metalblessed reinforcements he has not been given, presides distractedly over a non-lethal spiking demonstration, then walks off toward the Community to *see to the perpendicularity*, leaving orders to execute the captives.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 59 Emerges from the perpendicularity-pool room of his Wayfarer mansion in his funeral suit and aluminum-lined hat; trades arguments with Marasi across a Pulser bodyguard's slowness bubble, then punches through the wall, takes a magazine of pistol rounds without flinching, hurls Marasi through a window, and is caught by Armal's Rioted shame on the patio with his hat off.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 60 Curled on the green-painted patio of his Wayfarer mansion in the cone of Armal's Rioted shame, hatless, unable to move enough to use his strength or his healing; subsequently tied up and held drained by a Leecher from the Community.
