Verdant Cannonball

A child-head-sized sphere Tress grows and shapes from roseite, waxed on the outside and packed with a massively oversized charge of verdant spores — enough that the spores tint its interior faintly violet through the rose. Lowered into a barrel of water and breached, it erupts into a tree of interwoven verdant vines thick as a sailor's arm and tall enough to lift a full-sized ship clear of a rainfall's crimson spike-thicket.
