Verdant Aether
The vegetation-tied aether that produces verdant spores and grows in monstrous form on the emerald moon. The moon has no water, so the prime aether sustains itself by infecting hosts on the planet below, channelling liquid out of them to feed itself across the gap. Ordinary sprouters grow it from spores in a vase; a spore eater is a person it has set up house inside. STD:Tress:Ch 27
Known facts
- vines-seek-tressPouring a little water on the bit of verdant vine she has pried out of a flare's timer, Tress discovers that the growing tip responds to her. It turns to follow her finger when she moves it, follows her chair when she scoots aside, traces a corkscrew when she spirals her fingertip in the air. Huck is frightened and the vine does not react to him; she is not afraid, and it does. She remembers the attachment she felt to her midnight creations and feels something similar here — a faint Connection to a creation that is reaching, empty and wanting, toward her.STD:Tress:Ch 40
