also known as Grandmother V, Elder Vwafendal
A stately, white-haired Terris elder in the Village, dark-skinned and walking with a cane she does not need — and Wax's maternal grandmother. She raised him for a year inside the Village as a youth, and never accepted the name his father gave him; she calls him *Asinthew*. She rules the Synod's younger guards with a tired word and considers Allomancy and Feruchemy together to be dangerous and corrupting. MB2:SoS:Ch 5

- MB2:SoS:Ch 5 Approaches the Synod guards from the shadow of a tree, calls Wax her grandson, and waves the Brutes off with a tired word.
