A formal single-combat wager that Dalinar — as Bondsmith — offers Odium outside Thaylen City: each side names a champion, they clash for the fate of Roshar, and the binding holds either side from open extermination of the other. Odium agrees, then warns Dalinar that he has already prepared his own champion — one stronger than Amaram. SA:OB:Ch 117

If Dalinar wins, Odium withdraws from Alethkar and Herdaz but keeps Iri and Jah Keved.
