Highlord Amaram — and, in his hurried letter from a coach in Dalinar's emptying warcamp the day the storms broke, a confessed member of the Sons of Honor. He writes to Restares that with Voidbringers fought on the plateaus and a new storm unleashed, the conspiracy has succeeded; their burden has always been to crisis the world enough to force the Heralds back and restore the Vorin Church. He then breaks into the building where the insane are kept, cuts a hole in the wall with his Shardblade, and takes the bowed, whispering Talenelat away in his coach — narrowly surviving a Ghostbloods blowgunner whose dart the Herald himself snatches from the air. An Alethi brightlord, once high officer for Sadeas and named first of Dalinar's restored Knights Radiant — now publicly unmasked as the man who slaughtered his own spearman's squad to steal their captured Shardblade.
