Kalad's Phantoms
The army of stone-bodied Lifeless Vasher raised to bring the Manywar to an end and then left, motionless, in T'Telir as the D'Denir — a thousand sleepers in stone shells, indifferent to weapons, awakened by the phrase *my sin be hidden*. *Kalad's Phantoms* survived in Hallandren speech as an oath; the army survived as scenery, until Vasher gave it to the God King to stop a war he could not stop himself. A common Hallandren oath, invoked by Bebid when he tells Vasher that crushing the highlands will not be easy. The Phantoms are evidently a thing of the Manywar era associated with the name Kalad, but no character explains them on the page. STD:WB:Ch 5 superseded at STD:WB:Ch 58
