Parlin
A young Idrian woodsman a few years older than Vivenna, son of General Yarda, who has spent his recent years on the Hallandren border and the northern passes. Square-faced, tall, almost lupine in his movements; characteristically terse. He has grown up around the palace at Bevalis and is quietly in love with Vivenna, which is why she trusts him to come south with her and not report her to her father. STD:WB:Ch 9

- tortured-to-death-by-denths-crewParlin is killed in the safehouse cellar by Denth's crew, tied to a chair with his face cut and his cheeks sliced open, after refusing to tell them where Vivenna had gone. - STD:WB:Ch 9 Returns from scouting the market wearing an absurd green Hallandren hat, tucks it away when Vivenna makes him, walks her into the fish restaurant where she expects to meet Lemex, and leaves her at the table to pace the streets outside.
- STD:WB:Ch 10 Stands at the back of Lemex's sickroom holding his absurd floppy green hat, then rushes to Vivenna's side when the Breath strikes her to her knees.
- STD:WB:Ch 13 Stands watch outside Lemex's house while Vivenna and the mercenaries argue inside.
