A kandra of the Third Generation — an explorer, an expert on bodies, and per VenDell a genius — who spent the last two centuries chasing the Bands of Mourning across the continent. He has just returned to Elendel missing an arm, half a chest, and one of his spikes. Without that spike he is no longer sane, and the kandra cannot get a coherent account from him — only the evanotype pictures still inside his pack and the conviction that he was ambushed in New Seran.
