After his plateau fell to the singing Parshendi and his army scattered in chaos, Roion watched Dalinar go down to the Assassin in White alone. He charged with a sidesword and a handful of his own soldiers, was Lashed into the black sky by a single touch to the chest, and fell back to the stones with the wet crunch of a man who would not rise again.
