Shallan's first Cryptic — the spren she bonded as a child and then killed, leaving her a deadeye who limped beside her unseen. In Lasting Integrity after the trial she sits on a chair, limp head-pattern straightening a little; Adolin and Pattern choose the Alethi name *Testament* for the meaning of her individual pattern.
