Adawathwyn
Vice Governor of Elendel under Varlance. A Terriswoman in a traditional robe, with curly dark hair — Wax thinks he may have known her in the Village — and the one who actually does the work of running the office. Most Elendel governors keep a Terris staff member on display the way they keep a row of medals. MB2:TLM:Ch 2
Known facts
- buries-bomb-warningReceives a dire letter from Steris in the morning warning of a weapon capable of destroying Elendel, and pointedly never delivers it to Governor Varlance — dismissing it on the floor as *some nonsense about a bomb* and citing House Ladrian's history of inflating problems.MB2:TLM:Ch 31
- read-as-set-decoySteris, by Bilming-crisis council, decides Adawathwyn is not a true Set conspirator at all — she is too actively working for the things the Set wants, kept loud and clean as a decoy whose eventual downfall will not lead back to the real planners.MB2:TLM:Ch 38
Events
- MB2:TLM:Ch 2 Recognises Wax to the floor, advises Varlance in real time on his ruling, and gavels the procedural vote that lets the Supremacy Bill go ahead.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 31 Receives Steris's authorisation form for Wax's seat, shouts the chamber to order, and then quietly works the governor to keep Steris off the select council she has just engineered into existence.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 38 Glares at Steris from the moment she walks in, talks past her, and ends the meeting visibly drawing back from TenSoon's transparent skin.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 43 At the governor's council in Elendel reading Wax's dispatch; orders the young radio operator sequestered, then proposes the Bands of Mourning as Elendel's last shield.
- MB2:TLM:Ch 48 Demands the Bands as a Ferring of the mind who can *walk Harmony's Path*; cannot activate them; takes Daal's offer of a ride out the moment it's extended and snatches her papers from the table.
