The old immigrant-quarter philosopher of Yeddaw — the one Nin's Skybreakers mistook for a Lightweaver and went hunting. He is in truth one of the Sleepless: a man-shape sewn together by interlocking cremlings beneath a black Tashikki shiqua. He sits and talks for anyone who will listen, observing the people he calls *the assassin, the surgeon, the liar, the highprince* — and now Lift, whom he names as the most interesting of the lot. He invokes the old name Axies and tells her to mention his to any Sleepless she may meet. SA:ED:Ch 18 superseded at SA:DS:Ch 5

He calls it self-defence and then concedes that's a lie — they could not have killed him — but they came asking for a contest in not so many words and he obliged. Confesses to killing Darkness's apprentices, refuses to name the man the Herald is now hunting, and gives her his name and a hint anyway.
