The Derethi order of monks trained at Dakhor Monastery — and, as Raoden sees on the morning of his wedding by reading the bone of a dead one, the Fjordell equivalent of AonDor. The order of monks trained at Dakhor Monastery — the Order of Bone, the most feared of the Derethi monastic orders and the one whose inner rites even the gyorns are not taught. After initiation a monk's skeleton is slowly reshaped over months into ridged, patterned bone visible as raised marks under the skin. Each pattern is said to grant its bearer a specific gift — uncanny speed, raw strength, longevity beyond a normal lifetime. Dilaf is one of them, and their gragdet. EL:EL:Ch 58
