Kwaan
A figure from the Lord Ruler's past — once like a father to him, who without warning denounced him before the Terris Conclave of Worldbringers as a false Hero of Ages and then fled. The narrator of the logbook still does not understand why. MB1:TFE:Ch 29
Known facts
- plate-confession-betrayed-alendiThe signed author of the steel plate Sazed finds beneath the Conventical. In its opening lines he names himself "philosopher, scholar, traitor," declares himself the one who first identified Alendi as the Hero of Ages and announced it to his fellow Worldbringers, and confesses that he later betrayed Alendi specifically to keep him from completing his quest.MB1:WoA:Ch 12
- warned-the-prophecies-themselves-were-being-alteredThe full plate-text revealed at the Conventical contains the warning Sazed's tampered rubbing did not: that some force has been altering the prophecies themselves — even the lines inside the Worldbringers' metalminds — to make Alendi fit them too perfectly, to make releasing the power into a moral imperative, and to drive him to the Well. Kwaan writes that only because he memorised the original lines without a metalmind did he notice the drift at all.MB1:WoA:Epilogue
