The Malwish
Allik's people, a nation from far south of the Basin — across the Southern Roughs and the wastelands beyond, in a land he says was once warm before the *Ice Death* froze it. They wear masks at all times by custom, traveling and surviving in the cold by means of the Feruchemical medallions their Sovereign taught them to make. MB2:BoM:Ch 21

- medallion-trade-restrictionsWax reads the Malwish trade arrangement with Elendel as deliberately stingy — three skimmers and a handful of medallions, with the means of their production withheld — and is increasingly convinced from discrepancies in Allik's accounts that the medallions themselves are less versatile than the Malwish wish the North to believe. There are, conspicuously, no Feruchemical-strength or mental-speed soldiers in the Malwish army and no Allomancer medallions in their navy.MB2:TLM:Ch 9
