The Crow's Song's former sprouter. He was, Tress is told, the only crewmember willing to say aloud what most of the rest were thinking when the captain announced a turn to piracy — and was put over the side by Crow for it. The narrator notes, drily, that he is dead, that he is not the corpse referred to in the chapter title, and that there is in fact another corpse on the ship. STD:Tress:Ch 15
