A massive vessel of unknown origin filling almost the whole of the Dulsing warehouse — three-storey curved hull, two long armlike pontoons (one crumpled where it broke off in transit), no masts, no sails, no smokestack, propelled by some mechanism the Set's engineers cannot identify. Carries golden patterns on its corridor ceilings, rooms hung with black executioner-style hoods, instruments that make no sound, two genders' worth of facilities plus a third with an indecipherable marking, and a hold of lightweight metal *hearth* machinery webbed by lines of other metals — *nothing like any ship Wax has seen*. - propulsion-defies-basin-scienceThe vessel is mostly intact, but no Set engineer can identify the method of propulsion — no masts, no gears, no electricity, only a *hearth*-shaped fixture of lightweight metal in the hold from which lines of other metals run like a spiderweb along the walls.
