The high noble families of Luthadel, each rich enough to maintain a keep, a private retinue of guards and Mistings, and a share of the Final Empire's commerce. Their squabbles are kept short of open war by an unspoken agreement not to use Mistborn against each other. MB1:TFE:Ch 4
Known facts
- metal-as-fashionImperial fashion accents a nobleman's dress with worn metal — rings, bracelets, scarves clasped in steel — even though metal on a nobleman's person leaves him exposed to Allomantic Push and Pull. The custom began with the Lord Ruler himself, who wore metal in order to deny it to the Terrismen; the nobility followed him into the fashion and have not given it up.
