Rebeke Salvage
The woman who rescued Nomad from the arena — full name Rebeke Salvage, barely into her twenties, with light green eyes and a black braid woven with silver. She flies the four-seater hovercycle home to Beacon without her brother Divinity, who fell in the raid. She has defied her leadership to bring back her own sister, one of the ember warriors, in the hope she can still be saved. STD:TSM:Ch 7

- STD:TSM:Ch 15 Shares a bland bread-and-sausage sandwich with Nomad from the merlon. Tells him she thinks he is from the stars; relays the Chorus's account of the Threnodite exodus from the Evil and the infighting that drove it; gasps when she spots the Cinder King's own ship coming for the wreck.

- STD:TSM:Ch 50 Strapped into the conversion rig in the Hall of Burning with the cinderheart spear descending onto her chest when Elegy reaches her — pulled free, partly implanted, saved by Elegy's reversed recharge prayer. Wakes whole, with the cinderheart gemstone-embedded in her skin and a partial link to the Charred; decides on the spot that they must reach Union's command centre.
