KanPaar
A senior member of the Second Generation who acts as spokesman for the Seconds at TenSoon's trial. Tall, with bones of clear, deep-red crystal — beautiful and impractical, in the Seconds' fashion — and an accent kept untainted by long avoidance of humans. He has spent much of his life arguing that the Third Generation are the Seconds' worst mistake, and looks plainly pleased to be proving it now. MB1:HoA:Ch 9
Known facts
- crystal-true-body-shattered-by-tensoonAt the sentencing in the Trustwarren, TenSoon launches himself off the platform and crashes into KanPaar's crystal True Body at a wolfhound's full weight. The bones shatter audibly under the impact and KanPaar screams in a thoroughly un-kandra-like way. The two guards assigned to break TenSoon's bones turn aside to attend to him, which is exactly the lapse TenSoon needs to clear the room.MB1:HoA:Ch 33
Events
- MB1:HoA:Ch 9 Stands behind his fine stone lectern at the head of the Second Generation's tiered row, opens the trial by demanding TenSoon confirm he insists on it, and visibly looks forward to the proceedings — confident his side has been waiting a long time for exactly this case to make their point.
- MB1:HoA:Ch 11 Presides from the stone lectern, opens the judgment by demanding TenSoon explain his killing of OreSeur, cuts off the rambling HunFoor, and ultimately announces — when the First Generation decline to intervene — that sentencing will fall in one month's time.
- MB1:HoA:Ch 33 Speaks the sentence of ritual imprisonment over TenSoon from the Trustwarren lectern, then is broken at his lectern when TenSoon leaps the platform and tackles him as a wolfhound.
- MB1:HoA:Ch 68 Leads the Seconds against Sazed in the metal-plated chamber — snorts at his claim to be the Announcer, names him outsider despite his accurate blasphemy, deflects the comparison of Terris faiths — and is cut off mid-objection when the unseen First Generation tells him to leave.
- MB1:HoA:Ch 75 Tries to talk the chamber down from its alarm about the missing mists, is overruled by Haddek, and responds by leading the Fifth Generation into the Trustwarren to seize the First Generation and Sazed before the Resolution is announced to the rest of the kandra.
- MB1:HoA:Ch 79 Caught by Vin's sight handing a pouch of atium to a subordinate to trade for weapons; speaks of ruling rather than serving mankind, then is seized by Ruin through his spikes.
- MB1:HoA:Ch 80 Found inside the Trustwarren directing a handful of remaining kandra in pushing back the hoard's floor-plate; ruined by Sazed slamming the doors shut and pinning them inside.
