OreSeur
The kandra under Vin's Contract, wearing the wolfhound's bones. Has proved he can keep her pace on a rooftop chase and pull a hidden vial of metal out of his own shoulder for her in a pinch — the body splits open at his will and reseals around what he stows inside it. The hound has decided the form is not so contemptible after all; its senses, he admits, are remarkable. MB1:WoA:Ch 8
The kandra under Vin's Contract, now wearing the body of a black-and-grey watchbeast wolfhound she bought at the Luthadel livestock pens and knocked unconscious so he could digest it. Vin's working notion is that nobody listens around a dog — that as a hound he can walk into conversations a steward never could — and that she is rather more comfortable around him in this shape than the last one. The hound is not delighted with the arrangement and has had to be compelled to it by the Contract. MB1:WoA:Ch 5 superseded at MB1:WoA:Ch 8
The kandra Kelsier once contracted to wear Lord Renoux's bones, now bound to Vin on the same Contract and wearing a different, deliberately nondescript body — balding, plain-featured, serving as her shadow on the night rounds. Polite, formally deferential, and not entirely warm. MB1:WoA:Ch 1 superseded at MB1:WoA:Ch 5
Known facts
- attacked-human-to-protect-vinOreSeur took two staff-blows for Vin in the Assembly Hall — tackling a Thug and later striking him from behind — and admits to her in her sickroom that he had judged he could risk it. Most of his kind read the Contract as forbidding any help in killing a human, but the actual words forbid only the kill. Had the man he tackled snapped his neck on the fall, OreSeur would have returned to his people for execution.MB1:WoA:Ch 40

- MB1:WoA:Ch 5 Receives the wolfhound carcass; informed flatly that the dog is to be his next body and that he must be commanded to it by the Contract.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 6 Greets them in the finished wolfhound body, indistinguishable from the original animal; tells Elend the form is offensive and degrading but that he will wear it anyway because the Contract is life.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 8 Follows Vin out into the mists in his new wolfhound body, manages to keep her pace through a rooftop chase, retrieves her dropped metal-belt for her after the duralumin flash, and demonstrates that he can carry a vial of metal sealed inside the flesh of his shoulder.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 11 Wolfhound at Vin's heel on the wall walk, padding along beneath her as she runs the parapet.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 11 Pads up beside Vin in the courtyard; Breeze and Ham trade jokes about why she would choose a wolfhound.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 11 Affirms the Contract aloud to Elend in the carriage; later sniffs the unknown discarded skeleton and judges it expelled only hours before.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 13 Sits on the rooftop in the hound's body while Vin works him for everything the Contract will let him say about kandra impostor-detection, and refuses to answer her question about why Kelsier had wanted him kept away from the Lord Ruler and the Inquisitors.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 13 Darts from the shadows after Vin falls out the third-storey window and offers to fetch aid; she waves him off and walks away from the building.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 16 Watches Vin tear apart the logbook from his paws and asks why she has dismantled a book she does not appear to be reading; serves as the polite, dry voice making Vin explain herself.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 17 Lies with paws before him watching Vin try to write, observing dryly that the purpose of a writing desk is writing.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 17 Pads along at Vin's side as she and Elend go down to meet Zane.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 17 Sits beside Vin on the Keep Venture wall before she leaves to chase Zane's bronze pulse, and asks why she does not tell Elend she has been sparring with him.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 20 Rests on the floor beside Vin's chair; notices when she squeezes her eyes shut to read Breeze's pulse.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 22 Springs from a pile of boxes in the keep courtyard with an unnervingly inhuman bay, the prearranged signal Vin uses to startle a target into instinctive Allomancy.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 22 Lies on the wall-top guardhouse roof beside Vin with his paws hanging over the edge, reluctantly confirms that no kandra can burn metals so her test will work, and trades the chapter's long mutual confession about hate, the Contract, and the night Kelsier chose to die. Hears the approaching footsteps in the street before she does.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 22 Drops a full twenty feet from the keep wall after Vin and lands intact — the kandra has begun to push the limits of the wolfhound body.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 23 Lies on the kitchen floor beside Vin throughout the briefing in wolfhound shape, then rises and stretches at the end and glances at the windows when Vin decides to head back outside.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 24 Lies quietly beside Vin on the keep roof staring out over the night city while she re-reads the logbook page.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 24 Tenses on the roof when Zane reveals himself, alternates his gaze between the two Mistborn throughout their conversation, and stays close to Vin.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 25 Beside Vin's bed, gives the quiet warning bark that wakes her in time to draw on Tindwyl; shrugs canine shoulders when she thanks him.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 25 Refuses Allrianne's objection in the carriage and rides on the seat with Vin, laughs softly through Vin's augmented hearing when Allrianne is appalled to learn she is skaa, and settles outside the shop door to wait.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 25 Sits by the shop door where he was left, watches Vin address the crowd with what she calls a curious canine expression.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 26 Sits on his haunches in Vin's bedroom in Keep Venture, objecting that walking into Straff's camp is a bad idea, and is left behind when Vin decides a pet wolfhound at the parley would look strange.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 27 Pads out to the carriage in Tin Gate's courtyard to wait for Vin as she climbs down.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 28 Sits at Vin's feet as she ends up idly scratching his ears, and quietly tries his first joke in front of her — offering, in deadpan kandra humour, to eat Ham or Breeze to speed the meeting up.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 29 On the top of Keep Hasting all night with Vin, yawning openly and asking why she keeps coming up here looking for Zane — finally telling her, plainly, that he does not like the man and that her fixation on him is wrong; declines her offer to change bodies and stays the wolfhound he has grown accustomed to; delivers his second deadpan defence of "aged meat" on the walk home.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 33 On a chair at the window in Vin's room watching Cett's procession move into the city, and pressed by Vin into admitting that the kandra have a religion of their own.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 33 At Vin's side in the palace library while she tests Dockson against a private memory.

- MB1:WoA:Ch 36 Drops down to the alley a moment after Vin does and waits at her side while she talks with Demoux.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 38 Crosses the Hall mid-fight in his wolfhound body, barrels into the first Thug when he is about to break Vin's head, takes a skull-fracture and a back-blow on her behalf, and keeps a hidden vial of metal open inside his shoulder flesh so she can re-burn pewter.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 40 Comes through Vin's door in a second wolfhound's body — bigger, blacker than the first — explains his reading of the Contract, hints at the kandra's secret weakness, and collapses on the bed when she stumbles onto it with duralumin-flared Soothing.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 43 Sits on his haunches beside Vin at Elend's bedside, growls a warning when Zane appears, and reluctantly surrenders the atium bead when Vin asks for it back — quietly telling her not to go.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 44 In his wolfhound body, finds Vin for Elend by tracking her out of the keep after the Hasting attack, walks them both back to her, and accepts the atium bead back into his body for safekeeping when she gives it to Elend.
- MB1:WoA:Ch 47 Sitting in his wolfhound body when Zane arrives; revealed midway through the fight to have always been TenSoon working for Zane under his separate Contract. Helps Vin by hinting at the secret that lets her control him directly.
