Sivi-daughter-Sivi
Willshaper Honorbearer of Shinovar, known to Szeth from his Honorbearer days. He finds her desiccated corpse curled before the altar of her monastery near Koring, still clutching the Willshaper Honorblade, with three words of Shin script carved into the stone beneath her — *I will not bow to him.* Where the other Honorbearers along Szeth's pilgrimage have been bent to serve the Unmade, Sivi refused and died of it, sparing the people in her territory from the curse the rest of Shinovar still labours under. SA:WaT:Ch 45
Known facts
- refused-the-unmade-and-diedSivi refused whatever the Unmade demanded of the Willshaper Honorbearer and chose to die curled at her own altar rather than bow to it. The three words she scratched into the stone beneath her — *I will not bow to him* — explain why the people of Koring alone among the Shin of their region were spared the curse that turned the rest *different*, *dark*.SA:WaT:Ch 45
- tells-szeth-she-may-have-been-deceivedWhen Szeth confronts Sivi in a Pozen-monastery prayer chamber about serving an Unmade, she does not deny it — but on hearing his description of the captive tortured spren in the cavern she goes still: *Could I … could that be right? Could I have been deceived? That's the form I'd have chosen for a deception …* The conversation is cut short by Pozen's arrival, but the doubt is now planted.SA:WaT:Ch 102
Events
- SA:WaT:Ch 57 Travels in Pozen's party in violet robes with short, deliberately spiked hair. Intervenes to soften the verdict on Szeth — *I do not see this as a flaw* — and quietly identifies him as destined for administration rather than the line.
- SA:WaT:Ch 68 Smiles through the tribunal, defends the Voice's choice, and quietly bargains a place outside the monastery for Neturo as administrator.
- SA:WaT:Ch 83 Won't meet Szeth's eyes, but stays behind after the others depart to tell him that Tuko's "heresy" was talk of rebellion and civil war.
- SA:WaT:Ch 102 Meditates in the adjacent prayer chamber where Szeth was hiding; takes his confrontation in stride, does not summon her Blade or shout for help, and admits doubt about the Voice's true form.
- SA:WaT:Ch 111 Comes in after Moss breaks; refuses to Elsegate away and duels Szeth sword-to-sword in the middle of the enemy ranks. Disarmed after five hard minutes and warned by him to join him — answers that he is confused, that what he saw was no Unmade.
- SA:WaT:Ch 117 Argues at the fire that Neturo has known Truth since touching the Bondsmith Blade — that there are no Voidbringers and the war ahead is between worlds. Relays the Voice's order that Szeth keep the Blade.
